SAM Magazine--October 11, 2006--Ski Utah has announced a new initiative to combat global warming. Called KeepUtahCool.com, the new website offers information on global warming, how warming impacts the ski industry and what individuals can do to help combat global warming. In addition, the site also has coverage of what Utah ski resorts are doing to preserve and protect the environment, including combating global warming.

"We want to ensure that future generations of skiers and snowboarders can continue to enjoy The Greatest Snow on Earth®," explained Nathan Rafferty, president of Ski Utah. "Much of our state's economy relies on tourism dollars that the ski industry delivers, so we felt compelled to launch a site that would remind people of global warming's impact and also let them know that it is a fixable problem if we act now, as individuals and organizations."

Ski Utah's KeepUtahCool site was inspired by a similar program instituted by The National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) . The Association's global warming awareness campaign called Keep Winter Cool provided some of the content for Ski Utah's KeepUtahCool.com
