SAM Magazine-Breckenridge, Colo., Apr. 17, 2007-The National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) will host its 35th anniversary get-together at Breckenridge January 12 to 19, 2008. The organization's Annual Meeting and Challenge Cup (AMCC) is expected to attract more than 1,000 individuals representing 77 clubs from across the country.

Since its founding in 1973, the NBS has grown to include more than 77 clubs with a membership of more than 8,000. The primary purpose of the AMCC is to promote African American representation in winter sports and raise money for the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund, designed to provide financial support for exceptional athletes of color who excel in winter sports. In addition, funds from this event support the operation of the NBS.

"We are proud to create a partnership with the NBS as it is a highly sought-after group by ski resort communities around the country," says Corry Mihm, the director of the Breckenridge Resort Chamber. "It is a privilege to welcome the NBS into our community, and we are excited to share with them the friendliness and experiences Breckenridge is famous for."
