SAM Magazine-Lincoln, N.H., July 5, 2007-New Hampshire's Loon Mountain has started a $10 million investment on the resort's South Peak expansion. The development, which is expected to open in December, features a new high speed quad, which will serve approximately 50 acres of intermediate and advanced terrain. The area will be accessed by an additional quad "connector" lift, and will also feature the development of 400 acres of real estate between the mountain and the Pemigewasset River.

Upon completion, South Peak Resort on Loon Mountain will be a four-season mountain destination including private ski-in/ski-out and riverside custom homes and condominiums with amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool pavilion, hot tubs, massage studio, fitness center, theater room, dining facility, skier services, hiking and biking trails, and more. The real estate project is being headed by Centex Destination Properties in conjunction with Loon.
