SAM Magazine-Broomfield, Colo., Aug. 30, 2007-Skiers and snowboarders can buy four days at Keystone Resort or Arapahoe Basin for $129 with the 4-Pack pass, on sale through Oct. 14. The 4-Pack is non-transferable and must be purchased in person, and comes with major holiday blackout days-Christmas Martin Luther King, Presidents among them. The 4-Pack competes with similar products from Copper Mountain and Winter Park, and gives Front Range skiers and riders another option to the popular discounted season's passes offered by the various Vail Resorts and Intrawest properties.

Copper which has promoted the four-pack concept the hardest, and sister area Winter Park have been tweaking the four-pack concept in recent years. This year, the Copper Four Pass provides four days of skiing or riding for $119; the Winter Park Four Pass is $129. The Four Pass is a picture ID pass (just like a season pass) and is non-transferable. Additionally, Four Pass holders get vouchers good for two lift tickets for only $45. These can be used at either Winter Park or Copper. Four Pass holders can also purchase up to four discounted tickets per day at the ticket windows. Copper Mountain Four Pass benefits also include two $49 adult-only lesson coupons. These cards and the Transfour (below) are blacked out only for the Christmas-New Year's week; they are available through Oct. 14 at Christy Sports locations.

The new Copper/Winter Park TransFour Card ($179) is a transerable discount card good for four days of skiing or riding. It's limited to just one use per day. But TransFour cardholders can also purchase up to four additional discounted tickets per day. The TransFour is available until opening day, from a variety of Front Range locations as well as online, at the areas, and via the areas' call centers.
