SAM Magazine-Gavarnie, France, Sept. 21, 2007-French Pyrenees resort Gavarnie is expanding its terrain by nearly a quarter as the ski area adds 12 new runs for the 2007-08 season. The expansion brings the resort's total to 32 miles of marked trails. Additional improvements include the BuzzPark, Gavarnie's new terrain park.

In other news from France, Portes Du Soleil has launched the Lazybones Ski Pass. This new ticket option allows for skiing from 11 a.m., and is priced at 33 Euros, 6 Euros less than a full day ticket. According to the resort, skiers are starting their days later in the morning, and the new ticket option reflects that trend.

In Bulgaria, Pamporovo has announced plans to install a new Poma six-pack high-speed detachable between the ski area and the village of Stoikite, turning this existing village into a ski resort base. The new lift will be one of the longest built, at just under 3k. The resort is also adding two new runs about 5k long.
