SAM Magazine-Boulder, Colo., Mar. 27, 2008-In a series of staff changes at Mountain Sports Media, Ski magazine has named Greg Ditrinco editor, and Jake Bogoch has become editor of Skiing. Former Ski editor Kendall Hamilton becomes development editor for parent company Bonnier Corp.'s lifestyle and travel magazines.

Ditrinco has been a key figure at Ski for 12 years, including five years as the magazine's executive editor. Prior to his tenure at Ski, he was editor of the Aspen Daily News, and also served as a senior editor for Snow Country. "No one has more knowledge of skiing, ski resorts and mountain towns than Greg," said Tom James, editorial director of Bonnier Corp.'s enthusiast group.

"We'll continue to provide our readers with the finest stories and cutting-edge advice on how to get the most out of their ski day and the mountain lifestyle," Ditrinco said. Watch for an emphasis on additional gear and travel coverage.

New Skiing editor Bogoch has worked on ski magazines for more than 10 years, the last two as senior editor at Skiing. "Jake is the kind of skier you'd want to ski with. He's the guy who will unlock the secrets of the mountain and take you to the best spot to have a drink at the end of the day," says Tom James, editorial director. "The new Skiing magazine will reflect Jake's knowledge of the sport and his willingness to share it."

In addition to Bogoch's promotion, Skiing will have a new look and feel when it returns next fall: a new photo-driven design and larger overall size.

Bogoch replaces Marc Peruzzi, who, along with senior editor Pieter van Noordinnen and photo editor Sandra Gnandt, left the magazine in February in a down-sizing move.

As development editor for Bonnier's lifestyle and travel magazines, which include Islands, Caribbean Travel & Life, Saveur, Spa, and Snow, Hamilton's new task is to support and assist the editors of these various magazines as they shape their content for the future. He remains based in the Boulder office.
