SAM Magazine-Bozeman, Mont., July 9, 2008-Founder Tim Blixseth has agreed to transfer his 50 percent interest in the private Yellowstone Club ski and golf resort in Montana to his wife, Edra, as part of an impending divorce settlement, according to the Wall Street Journal. This will give Edra full ownership of the resort. Neither of the Blixeths are commenting on the settlement as the details are confidential.

In an earlier court filing, Edra Blixseth said she had secured $50 million from investor J. Gary Peters, chief executive of 1800 Investment Group LLC, to bolster the Club's finances. Edra claimed Peters would invest only if Tim was no longer involved. The WSJ reported that Discovery Land Co., which has developed several exclusive resorts and clubs of its own, will become the Club manager. That should assuage the concerns of many club members, some of whom have told New West magazine they favor professional management.

Edra said she will also end the Club's dispute with cyclist Greg LeMond, an early member and investor in the club, who sued Tim in 2006. Tim partially resolved the dispute with LeMond and his fellow investors by paying $18 million of a $38 million settlement. LeMond has been seeking the remaining $20 million, which was due Jan. 31, through the courts. \
