SAM Magazine-Snowbird, Utah, Aug. 26, 2008-Snowbird is dropping the prices on some of its early-purchase 2008-09 season passes, including a nearly $500 savings for families that opt for the Family of Four pack. Young-adult skiers and snowboarders also have an innovative new product which cuts the cost of skiing and riding by $420 compared to last season. Purchases must be made by Sept. 12.

The Family of Four (2 adults, 2 kids K-12) pass, which includes unlimited tram use, rang up at $2,477 last year; this year it's $1999. The resort's young adult pass (new this year) is $629 and is available for skiers born on or after Nov. 1, 1983. These individuals would have paid $1,049 last year. Other reduced prices include Snowbird's adult unlimited pass ($999, including tram) which cost $1,049 last year, and the chairlift-only adult unlimited pass ($899), which cost $919 last year. \
