SAM Magazine--September 8, 2008, Ironwood, Michigan-The Roger and Lilah Stangeland Trust, owner of Indianhead Mountain ski resort, has executed letters of intent to acquire the assets of nearby Big Powderhorn and Blackjack ski resorts, a combination that would combine three upper Midwest resorts into one.

"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to operate these resorts to the best advantage as a single business, and tailoring our offerings to produce the best possible ski experience to Midwest skiers," says Barry Bolich, GM of Indianhead. "Together we would have the most runs, and the ability to offer all of this in a seamless one-ticket package," he says.

The proposed transactions are subject to completion of due diligence and definitive agreements and are targeted to close prior to year's end. The purchase price and terms are not being disclosed at this time.
