SAM Magazine-Jackson, Wyo., Nov. 12, 2008-Tom Fortune has joined Snow King Resort as director of recreation, a new position that includes overall management of the Snow King ski area as well as summer operations and management of the Snow King Center, a year round ice skating arena and conference center which is owned by the city of Jackson and operated by Snow King. He is also charged with developing additional recreational facilities and revenue sources.

Fortune moves to Snow King from Sandpoint, Idaho and Washington state, where he has served as general manager of Schweitzer Mountain Resort, resort operations director for Stevens Pass, and most recently as head of real estate sales and development at Schweitzer.

"I am excited about this new chapter in my life working with the team at Snow King Resort. I value and respect the rich history and tradition of Snow King and look forward to my involvement in many things of the past, while at the same time bringing new and innovative activities and business philosophies to the resort," Fortune said. \
