SAM Magazine-Boulder, Colo., March 31, 2009-Mike Federle is the new group publisher of the Bonnier Mountain Group where he will head up SKI and Skiing magazines and SkiNet.com, plus Warren Miller Films. He replaces Jamie Pentz, who was ousted in early February.

Federle brings more than 25 years of sales experience to the task, including a successful tenure at Time Inc. As group publisher for that company's Business & Finance Network, he headed a division responsible for generating $400 million in advertising revenue for four titles-Fortune, Fortune Small Business, Money and Business 2.0 - and for the largest business and finance site, CNNMoney.com. He also held positions at People, Life and Ziff-Davis. For the past year, Federle was CEO of Internet rewards program company Next Jump Inc.

"I look forward to joining the team in Boulder and working to leverage our current assets as well as bring new opportunities into play for our marketing partners," he said.

"Mike has a proven record of transforming and growing businesses," said Bonnier Corp. CEO Terry Snow. "This is exactly what we are looking for to enhance our Mountain Group. He will truly motivate and energize a market that has great potential."

Dave Freygang, VP of Bonnier's enthusiast division, agreed. "We understand the challenges in the market and we are committed to making the necessary investments to help the industry grow," he said. He added that Bonnier will "support our marketing partners in bold new ways." \
