SAM Magazine-Frisco, Colo., Nov. 5, 2010-Keystone Resort and Copper Mountain opened today, adding to the growing list of areas that are now open for the season. In Canada, Lake Louise became the first area to open. Wolf Creek, Colo., opened for the season last Saturday, and Killington joined the group on Nov. 2.

The Colorado areas were aided by more than two feet of natural snow during the last week of October, while Killington has received eight inches of natural snow earlier this week. Keystone is reporting four open trails, stretching from top to bottom; Copper has three runs open, including two off the American Eagle quad. Skiing at Killington is limited to four upper mountain trails in the North Ridge area, which is accessed from the K-1 gondola.

Wild Mountain, Minn., which opened for last weekend, is reopening for this weekend as well.
