SAM Magazine-Mont Tremblant, Que., Dec. 21, 2009-Patrice Malo has been promoted to president and chief operating officer at Mont Tremblant. He will assume responsibility for all aspects of resort operations, real estate and community relations at Tremblant and will report directly to Bill Jensen, CEO at Tremblant parent company Intrawest.

Malo began his career at Tremblant in 1993 as a financial analyst and was soon named director of finance. In 2003, he became vice president of finance and played a key role in the planning and development of Versant Soleil, the new village at Tremblant. He left the company in 2006 but returned in July 2009 as vice president of lodging, where he managed nearly 1,000 condo-hotel units and oversaw homeowner relations.

"Patrice has a great depth of experience and familiarity with resort operations and real estate opportunities at Tremblant," said Jensen. "His strong ties to the local community, along with his commitment to employees, homeowners and customer satisfaction, uniquely qualify him to assume the leadership position at Tremblant."
