SAM Magazine-Salt Lake City, Utah, Sept. 8, 2010-F. Scott Pierpont will be joining Doppelmayr CTEC as vice president of sales in mid-October. Pierpont has spent his entire professional career in the ski industry, including president/managing director positions with Grand Targhee, Canyons, and Mount Snow. He has also been a part of the ANSI B77.1 committee for more than 20 years, and is its current chairman. Pierpont has also served as chairman of Ski Utah and the CSIA technical committee, and on the Vermont and Utah Tramway Boards.

"We are very excited that Scott has decided to join our staff," said Mark Bee, president of Doppelmayr CTEC. "Scott has extensive experience in mountain operations and brings a new dimension to our organization." Bee added, "His addition will allow us to move forward more quickly on customer-focused initiatives."

Pierpont said, "In my 36 years in the ski industry, I have worked with Doppelmayr CTEC on numerous projects, and I have always been impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their products. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work as part of the Doppelmayr team and serve my many friends in the industry."
