SAM Magazine-Tabernash, Colo., Apr. 21, 2011-Devil's Thumb Ranch, a 6,000-acre guest ranch and resort with an extensive cross-country network, has named Sean Damery as its new vice president and general manager.

A 22-year hospitality industry veteran, Damery has worked in a number of positions in food and beverage, lodging and operations. At Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in California, he served as director of rooms division and activities, including the on-site stables and children's activities, transportation services and spa programs. He also served as director of operations for the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa and as GM of the Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa, both in California, and with Hawaii's Four Seasons-Hualalai.

Damery is committed to putting Devil's Thumb Ranch in the company of other world-class resorts, he said via a prepared statement. "Devil's Thumb Ranch is a very special property, and its mission to be a restorative getaway is one I really believe in," he added.
