Killington Resort and Pico Mountain president and general manager Chris Nyberg gets wider responsibilities as president and chief operating officer of Powdr's resort division. Killington and Pico director of finance and revenue Mike Solimano replaces Nyberg as president and general manager of the two resorts. The promotions are effective immediately.

SAM Magazine—Park City, Utah, Sept. 24, 2012—Powdr Corp. has promoted three key personnel within the company. COO Herwig Demschar is now senior vice president of international business development. Killington Resort and Pico Mountain president and general manager Chris Nyberg gets wider responsibilities as president and chief operating officer of Powdr's resort division. Killington and Pico director of finance and revenue Mike Solimano replaces Nyberg as president and general manager of the two resorts. The promotions are effective immediately.

Demschar has been COO of Powdr since 2007. He has also served in key leadership roles for the Organizing Committees of the 2002, 2006, and 2010 Winter Olympics, and was a successful alpine ski coach.

Nyberg, a 30-year industry veteran, has been president and general manager of Killington and Pico since 2007. Previously, he served as vice president of Prinoth and executive vice president of Bombardier Industrial. He was also GM of Snoqualmie Resort in Washington and mountain manager of Willamette Pass in Oregon.

Solimano has served as director of finance and revenue at Killington and Pico for the past 12 years. Prior to that, he was vice president of finance and operations for Skis Dynastar.
