SAM Magazine—Hancock, Mass., April 5, 2013—Father and son team Brian and Tyler Fairbank have formed The Fairbank Group, LLC to manage and oversee its group of businesses that includes Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, Cranmore Mountain Resort and Bromley Mountain, as well as EOS Ventures, Bullwheel Productions and other endeavors. As part of the new structure, Tyler Fairbank becomes president of Jiminy Peak, supplanting his father.

Over the past six years, the number of enterprises under Fairbank management or ownership has grown significantly. The new organization will provide for continued growth and expansion opportunities, the Fairbanks said in a prepared statement.

Brian will serve as chairman of The Fairbank Group and Tyler as CEO. Brian will be primarily involved in strategic and financial planning, master plan development, and project-based work for the affiliated entities. Tyler will collaborate with Brian in planning and be responsible for the overall operations of the enterprises and strategic plan implementation. As president of Jiminy, Tyler will have direct oversight of the resort's operations. No other staffing changes will take place as a part of this transition.

“This new business alignment will allow us to more effectively lead the companies we are operating and growing. We now have a more definitive chain of command, a better structure for sharing best practices among the companies, and a clear identity and brand in the marketplace,” said Tyler.

The change is the culmination of a plan that has been in progress for a few years, the group said.
