SAM Magazine--June 6, 2013--Registration for SAM's 4th Annual Summer Ops Camp is officially open. The camp, which will take place at Attitash and Cranmore, N.H., September 15-17, will explore the many benefits of the growing opportunities in summer recreation in the mountains.

The Summer Ops program is a hands-on educational and networking event that gathers activity experts, resort managers and operators from around North America to explore four-season attractions. Through a series of seminars, workshops, networking with fellow operators and vendors and site visits with state-of-the-art summer operations, attendees will leave with the tools, contacts and know-how to operate a successful four season resort.

“SAM's [2012] Summer Ops Camp in Utah was a top notch program. Summer and non-skiing operations are a huge part of our business, and growing all the time. I hope to attend again and bring more people with me!” said one camper.

John Lowell, Attitash GM and co-host of the 2013 Summer Ops Camp, says, “We look forward to hosting resort operators and suppliers and exchanging ideas, best practices and successes.”

Adds Cranmore president Ben Wilcox (also a co-host of the camp), “Our expanded summer offerings have really solidified our profitable year-round business model and we are looking forward to sharing some of these ideas and learning from other operators.”

The camp will be held just prior to the New England Summit, which will also be held at Attitash, from September 17 to 19, to keep the fall trade show schedule as time-efficient as possible. Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Come join us for a fun and educational networking opportunity.
