SAM Magazine—Washington, D.C., Oct. 21, 2014—SnowSports Industries America (SIA) will host a first-ever Industry + Intelligence gathering Wednesday, Jan. 28, the day before its annual trade show opens. The event will include educational offerings, market intelligence, networking opportunities, keynote speakers, a job fair, and socializing.

Product category research seminars presented by SIA's Director of Research, Kelly Davis, will open the day. SIA will also share the initial results of the Downhill Consumer Intelligence Project (DCIP), an ambitious research effort that will culminate in strategies and tactics to grow snow sports participation.

Throughout the afternoon, seminars will focus on improving marketing and increasing sales. Keynote speaker Amy Purdy, currently the top ranked adaptive snowboarder in the U.S., 2014 Paralympic bronze medalist, and runner-up on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, will share her remarkable story.

Concurrently, The Assembly will convene its annual forum for mountain tourism stakeholders. The Assembly's two half-day segments provide an executive-level overview of the current business climate, followed by a series of breakout sessions that explore issues and trends.

To wrap it all up, All-Industry Nite will feature industry-only parties, concerts and events throughout downtown Denver. Additional information is at http://siasnowshow.snowsports.org/Show-Information.
