The upshot: Visit Salt Lake has agreed to revise its campaign in a manner that is acceptable to the parties. All other terms of the settlement are confidential.

As part of the settlement, all aspects of the litigation have been settled, and the case filed in the District Court for the District of Colorado will be dismissed.

“I want to thank Visit Salt Lake for working with us so quickly,” said Rob Perlman, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation.

The Ski City campaign “will continue to promote a distinct alternative experience—the benefits of an urban community teeming with restaurants, professional sports teams, cultural offerings, abundant hotel options, etc., all within minutes of numerous world-class resorts and an international airport,” said Scott Beck, president & chief executive officer for Visit Salt Lake. The marketing group “is pleased to reach an agreement on this matter to further distinguish these two unique locations,” he added.
