SAM Magazine—Woodbury, Conn., Nov. 21, 2014—After six successful camps at Carinthia, Mount Snow, Cutter's Camp will change the venue of its eastern location to Loon Mountain Resort, N.H., April 12-14, 2015. The western camp will remain at Timberline, Mt. Hood, Ore., May 11-15.

"We are thrilled to host the 2015 Eastern Cutter's Camp," said Jay Scambio, director of terrain park development for Boyne Resorts. "Cutter's Camp is an important industry gathering focused on the future of terrain parks, and we look forward to playing a role in raising the bar for terrain park operations across the country."

"In the six years Mount Snow has hosted Cutter's Camp, we have educated, informed and inspired more than 350 terrain park managers from resorts all over the East coast and Midwest and even some from the West, too. A big thank you to the whole team at Mount Snow!

"With the shorter camp in the East, we felt it was time to get behind the scenes at a new venue, with an equally top-notch park program. We look forward to an exciting new Cutter's Camp at Loon in the spring," said SAM publisher Olivia Rowan.

Loon's full progression of award-winning parks offer terrain for all abilities, including the Paul Bunyan-themed Burton Riglet Park, Burton Lil' Stash, and its signature Loon Mountain Park, which includes New Hampshire's only Superpipe. With more than 20 years of park building under its belt, Loon has won several awards for its commitment to terrain park and event innovation. It was the first East coast resort to build at Snowboarder Magazine's Superpark and continues to push the limits every March at Eastern Boarder's annual Last Call.

This April, Cutter's Camp will kick off the same day as Loon's marquee springtime park event, Street Cred, which takes urban skate spots and translates them into snow and steel. Campers will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce this event. A combination of classroom and on-hill sessions and camp activities will complete the program.

Now in its 13th year, Cutter's Camp continues to be a gathering where terrain park managers and staff, from resorts large and small, can discuss park safety, risk management, design, construction, machinery, marketing, events, operations and management. The sharing of information between resorts remains an important aspect of Camp. Cutter's Camp is based on the belief that, whatever a resort's budget, equipment, or snow conditions, the key to a safe and successful park is to have knowledgeable, informed and well-trained staff.

Registration for both Camps will open in January 2015 on the Cutter's Camp website, www.cutterscamp.com. Email olivia@saminfo.com with questions.
