SAM Magazine—Norden, Calif., Aug. 11, 2015—More season pass partnerships among ski areas in the U.S. and internationally are being unveiled as the 2015-16 season approaches. Sugar Bowl, Woodward Tahoe, and Royal Gorge—all located atop Donner Summit—have partnered to offer skiers and riders unrestricted access to their facilities for the 2015-16 season.

The Sugar Bowl-Woodward Tahoe Unrestricted Pass is being sold exclusively by Sugar Bowl and starts at $729 for adults, $579 for young adults (13-22) and seniors (65-74), and $439 for children (6-12) and Super Seniors (75 and older). Pass purchasers can also add unlimited access to Royal Gorge cross country ski area, bringing the pass to $849 for adults, $659 for young adults and seniors, and $439 for children.

Combined, the pass offers skiers and riders access to Sugar Bowl's 1,650 skiable acres and 1,500 vertical feet, Royal Gorge, the largest cross country ski area in North America with 65 trails and more than 120 miles of skiable acres, and Woodward Tahoe's indoor and outdoor facilities including skateparks, foampits, and trampolines. Woodward operates 11 months out of the year with a primary focus on snowboarding and skiing during the winter months as well as summer programs for improving skills in snowboarding, free skiing, skateboarding, BMX, freestyle mountain biking, and digital media.

Meanwhile, 3,000 miles up the coast, Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, is now included in the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus. Passes are good for three days of skiing or riding on Alyeska's 1,600 skiable acres, in addition to access to seven other resorts, including Steamboat, Winter Park, Copper Mountain, Eldora, Crested Butte, and Mt. Ruapehu in New Zealand. Combined, the resorts offer more than 11,000 skiable acres.

Matt Bowers, chief marketing officer of Intrawest, which operates Steamboat and Winter Park, said this was the only pass product to feature a partnership with an Alaskan resort.

“Alyeska Resort is world-renowned for its incredible terrain, which makes a partnership with Winter Park, Steamboat, and Copper Mountain such a perfect fit,” said John Byrne III, owner of Alyeska.

The Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus starts at $559 for adults (18-69), $429 for teens (13-17), $299 children (6-12), $30 (5 and under), and $429 seniors (70 and older).
