SAM Magazine—Aug. 28, 2015—A memorial service for Jan Leonard, the principal in Skytrac lifts and former president of Doppelmayr who died Aug. 26, will take place Sept. 1.

In a prepared statement, Kay Leonard and family said they "would like everyone to know that a celebration of Jan Leonard's life has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 6 to 8 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor in Salt Lake City. There will be no viewing, just a gathering to remember Jan and connect with everyone who loved him. A future event to recognize Jan's industry achievements will be held sometime in the fall in the Salt Lake City area;" more information will be forthcoming once it's available.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Utah Humane Society (www.utahhumane.org).
