SAM Magazine—Nederland, Colo., Sept. 14, 2015—Brent Tregaskis, former general manager at Big Bear Mountain Resorts, is now the GM at Eldora Mountain Resort, Colo. The news comes just one week after Chris Riddle, vice president of marketing, announced his retirement after 41 years with sister resort Snow Summit.

“The opportunity presented itself recently. This is the best time for me to leave the valley and head for Colorado,” Tregaskis said.

Tregaskis worked at Big Bear for 30 years, starting as food and beverage operations supervisor in 1985. He moved up through the ranks, working as the food and beverage director and profit centers manager before taking a job at Jackson Hole, Wyo., in 1996. Two years later, Tregaskis was back in Big Bear, taking the job as GM of Bear Mountain for then-owner Booth Creek Resorts. He remained GM when Snow Summit purchased Bear Mountain in 2002, and more recently when Mammoth purchased the area last September.

Tregaskis' last day at Big Bear is Sept. 18.
