SAM Magazine—Bondville, Vt., Sept. 30, 2015—Bill Nupp has been promoted from interim manager to president and chief operating officer of Stratton Mountain Resort, effective immediately.

“After an extensive nationwide search and deliberate process, the Intrawest leadership team is proud to promote from within and have Bill Nupp lead Stratton forward,” said Sky Foulkes, COO of Intrawest, Stratton's parent company, and also the former president of Stratton. “As interim manager since November 2014, Bill led the Stratton team to a record year. Respected for his leadership, community involvement and business acumen, Bill is ideally suited to officially take on his new role at Stratton.”

Nupp joined Stratton in 1987, gaining expertise in a broad spectrum of resort operations including lodging, association management, permits and planning, golf, training and fitness, and community services including resort roads, water supply and security. His work in resort master planning and environmental stewardship earned Stratton recognition and awards. including two Vermont Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence.
