SAM Magazine—Fairfield, Idaho, Oct. 16, 2015—If you've ever wanted to own a ski resort, then today might be lucky day. Idaho's Soldier Mountain Ski Area, once owned by actor Bruce Willis, is currently for sale at the low, low price of $149,000.

The not-for-profit ski area currently owes money to the bank for three year's worth of improvements and operations, and the non-profit has decided to sell. Included in the purchase price is all inventory, lifts, buildings, the rental shop, the kitchen, bar, restaurant, snow machines, the maintenance shop, and all tools.

Those seriously considering putting in an offer will have to wait in line. Since news of the sale first broke on Oct. 14, Soldier Mountain has received more than 400 inquires regarding the purchase, according to the area's Facebook page.

Comments on the Facebook page range from “If we build it … they will come!” (Brandy Fowler) to “I've got a strategic plan and cash.” (David Williamson, the former VP of strategic planning at Vermont's Magic Mountain, who also sounds keen to place a bid).

Soldier Mountain volunteers are currently sending out information packages to those who have submitted email requests regarding the sale. Emails can be sent to info@soldiermountain.com.

Located near the southern part of the Sawtooth National Forest, the resort is home to 36 trails, 1,150+ skiable acres of terrain, and has a vertical drop of 1,400 feet.
