SAM Magazine—Saint-Sauveur, Que., Oct. 19, 2015—Hot on the heels of Killington and Sunday River opening in the United States, Quebec's Mont Saint-Sauveur is now the first resort open in Canada.

Thanks to cold temperatures over the weekend and with the help of 16 hours of snowmaking, the hill opened today at noon, and will close at 9:30 p.m. This marks the resort's second-earliest opening—the earliest being Oct. 18, 2009.

The number of trails open each day will depend on weather conditions.
