SAM Magazine—Park City, Utah, Jan. 6, 2015—SAM's seventh annual Summer Ops Camp, a hands-on educational, networking, and in-park demo event, will head to Park City Sept. 6-8, 2016. The camp gathers resort managers and operators from around North America and overseas to explore opportunities in four-season attractions.

In addition to a full schedule of on-hill workshops and classroom seminars, campers will explore and demo the broad range of summer venues and activities at both the Park City base area and Canyons Village at Park City. Activities include a zip tour, Ziprider, mountain coaster, quad alpine slides, small kids adventure zones, state-of-the-art mountain bike park, new 18-hole golf course, water play zone, and much more. Campers will also experience the adventure park at the Utah Olympic Park, including extreme tubing, mountain coaster, free fall drop tower, two aerial adventure parks, and a small kids park. Finally, specialized summer rescue and evacuation training workshops will be offered at the new state-of-the-art Petzl Technical Institute.

The hands-on format of the camp ensures a constant stream of insights from experts, manufacturers, and colleagues.

“Park City looks forward to putting on a memorable show for operators attending the 2016 SAM Summer Ops Camp,” said Park City COO Bill Rock. “Summer Ops Camp is an ideal forum to explore opportunities for growing our summer revenues. Any time you gather like-minded operators to exchange ideas, get hands-on education, and demo activities, you walk away with solutions to common problems and ideas for growth."

"Park City and the surrounding area is a premier location for Summer Ops Camp attendees to study the four-season mountain resort model, ” said Olivia Rowan, SAM's publisher. “The hands-on format of Summer Ops Camp ensures attendees interact on many levels with colleagues, experts, and manufacturers over the course of the three days. The result is always a positive one with many takeaways, trial, and thought-provoking discussion."
