SAM Magazine—Pacific Palisades, Calif., May 11, 2016—Burton Snowboards has made a $50,000 contribution to Protect Our Winters (POW), which the organization says will be POW Burton emailsizeused “to invest in its operational capacity and ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of the snow sports community.”

Burton and POW have worked together since 2011, with POW leveraging Burton's roster of high-profile professional athletes to gain exposure for its efforts to combat climate change and raise environmental awareness.

“Burton has a strong connection to the environment because we started in the mountains, and our lifestyle is all about the outdoors, whether we're chasing snow or hiking and camping in the summer,” said Burton CEO and POW board member Donna Carpenter. “We're proud to support POW because we believe we share a responsibility to preserve the lifestyle we love and promote. Through POW, we can help advocate for polices that focus on protecting our winters and reducing the impact of climate change.”
