SAM Magazine—Olympic Valley, Calif., July 21, 2016—Industry veteran Casey Blann will be taking the reigns as vice president of mountain operations for Alpine Meadows, as well Blann emailsizeas overseeing risk management and loss prevention for both Alpine and Squaw Valley.

Blann brings 35 years of experience working at Tahoe-area resorts including Heavenly, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and most recently Kirkwood. His qualifications for the responsibilities he will be taking on stem from several years of snowmaking and grooming management, as well as leading multi-resort safety initiatives at Vail Resorts.

“Casey's vast experience and background will not only be of great value to the team already in place at Alpine Meadows, but will also be a welcomed addition to our world class executive team here at the parent company Squaw Valley Ski Holdings,” said Andy Wirth, president and CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings.

“My goal is to create an experience for individuals and families,” said Blann. “Safety is not just lip service but a top priority for all who work and play at the resorts I have managed, and I will continue to implement the same culture at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows.”
