SAM Magazine—Incline Village, Nev., Jan. 13, 2017—After serving as Diamond Peak's interim general manager during the 2015-16 season, Mike Bandelin had the “interim” mike bandelin headshot15removed from his title in October, and now serves as the resort's full-on GM.

Diamond Peak is community-owned and operated by the Incline Village General Improvement District. Bandelin has worked there for 32 years, including 18 years as its mountain operations manager. His first job at the resort back in 1984 included parking cars and shoveling snow. He is Diamond Peak's longest-serving current employee.

“I think we would be hard pressed to find anyone with Mike's vast experience in the ski industry, and probably more importantly, he has the leadership qualities that both drive staff to want to perform as well as command great respect in the community he serves,” said Sharon Heider, director of community services for the Incline Village General Improvement District.
