SAM Magazine—Washington, D.C., March 22, 2017—Today, the Forest Service will host an ADA webinar for ski area and agency personnel from 2 to 3 p.m. EST. The subject of the USFSlogo esizewebinar is Accessibility for Resorts and Areas with Four Season Uses.

The webinar will provide an overview of what is and what is not required based on accessibility and disability, and how accessibility applies across a wide range of activities including zip lines, mountain coasters, mountain biking, rock climbing walls, summer concerts, and more. Facility and program accessibility, and the requirements for service animals, will be addressed as well.

The format will be 30 minutes of presentation followed by 30 minutes of live Q & A. Janet Zeller, accessibility program manager for the Forest Service, will be the presenter. Geraldine Link and David Byrd of NSAA, and Forest Service winter sports program manager Sean Wetterberg, will also participate in the Q & A.
