SAM Magazine—Manchester, Vt., Nov. 26, 2013—Bromley Mountain is inviting the public to a free “Introduction to Terrain Based Learning” session Dec. 21 so that first-timers can experience the increasingly popular teaching process based on terrain features. The session runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon and includes an all-day Learning Zone lift ticket. Equipment rentals will also be free for the morning.

Details: Skiers and riders must be at least 5 years old, and participation is limited to the first 150 applicants. Reservations must be made by Dec. 20.

For the TBL intro, ski and snowboard staff will work with students in the Learning Zone in the morning. Guests are then invited to continue practicing in the Learning Zone, enjoy lunch (at a discount), and find gifts at the Holiday Expo, which showcases freebies and coupons from a variety of sponsors, from Burton and Rossignol to Skull Candy.

@cpro, Agreed, we're all about collecting data and we've set up the product in such a way that we'll be getting all we need to remain in contact with these folks. So far the interest has been from local people that otherwise don't participate because of cost.

A survey at the end of the season to see how many participants returned would be very interesting.
