SAM Magazine--March 5, 2013--According to published reports, Sunrise Park Resort in Arizona is being investigated for the Norovirus, a very contagious virus. The area has been cooperating with federal, state, county and tribal agencies (the area is owned by the White Mountain Apache Tribe) after several customers became ill after visiting over the weekend of February 23 and 24. Food and water sources have been ruled out as the cause. The virus was likely brought to the area by an individual or group and is spread by contact and can affect people of all ages. In the meantime, Sunrise has followed all recommendations made by the Arizona Department of Health Services by sterilizing surfaces and taking extra precautions.
