Outdoor Industry Association Accepting Nominations For Outstanding Individuals

SAM Magazine - Boulder, Colo., December 8, 2006 - The Outdoor Industry Association is currently accepting nominations for the organization's Industry Awards. The Industry Awards recognize individuals who have implemented exceptional programs, demonstrated superior innovation or have gone that extra step to advance the outdoor industry as a whole. Open to any business, individual or non-profit organization, the Industry Awards acknowledge the exceptional people and companies who push the boundaries to grow the outdoor industry.

Two awards are available.

The Innovator Award recognizes any individual or business who has made significant contributions toward the continued innovation and growth of the outdoor industry - whether through programs, product, or other efforts.

The Ambassador Award recognizes any individual or business who has made significant and ongoing achievements toward the growth of participation in outdoor activities.

The awards will be presented at the Outdoor Industry Association's Industry Breakfast on Saturday, January 27, 2007, 7 to 9 a.m. at the Downtown Marriott (across from the Salt Palace), in Salt Lake City.
