SAM Magazine—Denver, Colo., Dec. 19, 2012—The Rental World, Backshop, and Uniform Gallery exhibits presented by SIA and SAM Magazine, along with a series of seminars and breakfast meetings, promise to give resort rental operators plenty to think about and see at the annual SIA Snow Show in Denver Jan. 31-Feb. 3.

Rental World/Backshop (Booth #4501) is a one-stop shop that offers a comprehensive view of the latest rental gear and backshop tools to help keep customers happy on the hill. Uniform Gallery (Booth #100) displays functional apparel for those looking to outfit resort personnel. A complete list of close to 60 suppliers participating in this exhibit can be found at http://siasnowshow.snowsports.org/Attendees/Rental-World-Backshop-Uniform-Gallery

Two workshops, one each on alpine and snowboard rental operations, are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 1 at Rental World. Each workshop focuses on providing the best possible introduction for newcomers to downhilling. A reception at Rental World at show’s end on Friday provides an opportunity to talk with suppliers and industry peers, and a breakfast Saturday morning Feb. 2 offers the chance to exchange experiences and successes in efforts to get new skiers and riders hooked.

Other free seminars at the show cover a variety of backcountry issues as well as social media trends.

The show itself presents the latest in gear, apparel, and accessories, and previews the trends to which resort guests will inevitably fall prey. The two-day SIA On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest Feb. 4-5 at Winter Park and Devli’s Thumb, Colo., tempt show attendees to preview next season’s skis, boots, boards, and XC gear.
