PSIA-AASI Fall Workshop Promotes Team Spirit

Each October, the PSIA-AASI Demo Teams, leaders from across the organization's membership, sponsor partners, and miscellaneous media meet for pre-season training at Copper Mountain, Colo. It's an excellent time to catch up with PSIA members and learn first-hand about the goals for the season.

This year's workshop, held this past week, aimed to bring greater commonality to teaching across the country. That's a change from past practice, which allowed each division (there are nine) and discipline (there are eight) to emphasize the skills that suited its particular constituency. The workshop also gives PSIA and AASI leaders a chance to share innovative programs with peers and generally raise the state of the art in snowsport instruction.
