SAM Magazine--Bridgton, Me., Nov. 12, 2004--Shawnee Peak Ski Area is offering free 2004-05 family season passes to the spouse and children of deployed soldiers. Shawnee's program is open to spouses and dependents of soldiers in any of the Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserves. If both parents are oversees, the offer applies to the guardians of the dependents.

"It's important to recognize the sacrifices of each soldier's entire family unit," said Chet Homer, owner of Shawnee Peak. "It's important for the private sector to contribute to the well-being of those family members left at home. This is the best way we know to say 'thank you' to the members of the Armed Services." \
