SAM Magazine--Tannersville, Pa., June 16, 2005-- Camelback Ski Corporation, located in Pennsylvania's Poconos Mountains, was sold to a local entrepreneur, Arthur B. Berry III. In the acquisition, Berry will take over Camelback's winter operations and its large waterpark, which draws nearly as many visitors in the summer as the ski area does during colder months.

Berry's immediate plans for the year-round resort were not announced, but he is quoted as saying, "The success of Camelback depends on our employees [of which there are 800] and I plan to keep all of our staff employed and will continue to create employment and career opportunities for them and other residents."

Previous owner, Sam Newman, will stay on as a consultant to assist in the transition.
