For the coming winter season 2006/2007, there'll be a re-launch of the 'International' ski area of Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche in Italy and Zermatt in Switzerland with the construction of six new lifts and an increase in the artificial snowmaking cover and therefore a total of 24 lifts in the Breuil-CerviniaValtournenche area.

The new lifts include a gondola, two six-seater and three quad chairs. There will also be new artificial snow coverage from the top of the Plan Torrette chair lift to the intersection with piste 26.

In the Breuil - Cervinia sector there'll be a new quad chair lift, "Campetto -

Djomein", with moving-carpet loading system and an hourly capacity of 2,400

people/hour. A si-seat chairlift, also with moving-carpet loading will join "Campetto - Pré de Veau - Plan Torrette." It will have a capacity of 3,000 people/hour. The KC10 Breuil - Plan Maison cable car will also be upgraded with he abins replaced and hourly capacity increased to 2,000 people per hour.

The upgrades will create a new, fast and efficient alternative for reaching Plan Maison and Plateau Rosà directly from the resort.

At Valtournenche there'll be three new chairlifts, all with moving carpet loading systems. Two new quads, Motta and Du Col, each have 2000 skier per hour capacities. There'll also be a new detachable six-seter chairlit, "Bec Carré",

with an hourly capacity of 2,400 people per hour. Snow making will be installed from Colle Inferiore delle Cime Bianche (2,893m) down to the arrival station of the cable car Salette (2,250m)

On the Swiss side of Zermatt, a new eight-set gondola will be constructed from Furi to Riffelberg with an intermediate station and an hourly capacity of 2,800 people per hour.
