SAM Magazine—Durango, Colo., Feb. 2, 2018—Mountain Capital Partners has named industry veteran Elizabeth Howe its new director of operations for its collection ofHN Elizabeth Howe 2218 mountain resorts, including Purgatory Resort and Hesperus Ski Area, Colo.; Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort and Pajarito Mountain, N.M.; and Arizona Snowbowl.


“We’re thrilled that Elizabeth has joined our team at Mountain Capital Partners to help us improve our mountain operations and the overall skiing experience at all our resorts,” said James Coleman, managing partner of Mountain Capital Partners. “With Elizabeth’s vast ski industry experience, she’ll help our company continue to grow and excel.”

Howe has 24 years of resort operations experience, with a background in lift operations and lift maintenance, as well as hotel operations. During her career she has served as vice president of resort operations at Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado, and senior director of mountain operations for Vail Resorts. Howe served as a member of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board, and was invited to present a Ted Talk at TedX Vail which focuses on women in ski area operations.
