SAM Magazine—Broomfield, Colo., March 14, 2018—Vail Resorts launched sales for its 2018-19 Epic Pass products last week, but that didn’t stop it from entering a HN epicaddstriplepeaks 31418 copy“long-term alliance” this week with Triple Peaks, LLC, adding the portfolio of Okemo, Vt., Mount Sunapee, N.H., and Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Colo., to next season’s Epic Pass.

“We expect this partnership will be a significant benefit to our guests and skiers and riders around the world for years to come,” said Tim Mueller, president of Triple Peaks, LLC.

This move adds more value to the Epic Pass in the key Northeast market, where the product was only valid at one ski area, Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont, before this new alliance was formed. The Epic Pass in priced at $899.

“Okemo is known as a great family-friendly resort, and together with neighboring Mount Sunapee and Stowe Mountain Resort, provides three great options for skiers and snowboarders in the Northeast,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts. “Crested Butte, with its legendary terrain and historic mountain town, is a perfect complement to the unique family of resorts offered on the 2018-2019 Epic Pass.”

Passholders who purchase Epic, Epic Local or Epic Australia will receive seven days of access with no blackout dates at each of the three resorts. Epic 7-Day passholders can use any, or all seven, of their total days, and Epic 4-Day passholders can use any, or all four, of their total days with no blackout dates at the three resorts. After the days are used, passholders will get 50 percent off lift tickets at each of the resorts.

In addition, Crested Butte Peak Pass Plus and Peak Pass holders; Okemo Ultimate, Classic and Gold Pass holders; and Mount Sunapee Full Ride and Skiing Is For Life Pass holders will get 50 percent off lift tickets at all Vail Resorts-owned mountain resorts.

In addition to this partnership, Vail Resorts has added access to Telluride, Colo., Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and its six ski areas, and Hakuba Valley in Japan to the Epic Pass.
