SAM Magazine—McCall, Idaho, Nov. 16, 2018—Brundage Mountain Resort has named Ken Rider as its new general manager. Rider first came on board at the resort a year ago as director of marketing and assistant general manager.
Rider’s ski industry career began in the late ’90s in a partnerships and promotions role with Intrawest. He then became director of marketing, sales, and lodging services at Tamarack Resort in Idaho. He then spent several years guiding the marketing and sales at Grand Targhee, Wyo., and had a brief stint at Snow King, Wyo., before making his way to Brundage.
“Brundage is a special place,” said Rider. “It’s been lot of fun to get to know our guests, the team and the community here. I’m really excited about what the future holds. I look forward to continuing to offer great experiences for all our guests both winter and summer.”
“Ken’s leadership as assistant general manager has already made a huge impact on both the Brundage Mountain team and on the guest experience,” said current managing director Bob Looper. “We are excited to have him move into the general manager role where he can continue to deliver strong results that our guests are sure to appreciate.”
Looper will continue as president of Brundage Mountain Company and focus his efforts on strategic planning and future development.
