SAM Magazine—Natick, Mass., Jan. 28, 2022—A record 16,000 votes were cast during the 11-day voting period in the 2022 HKD I AM a Snowmaker contest. This year’s contest showcased seven regionally diverse snowmaking teams from across North America: Boler Mountain, Ontario; Crystal Mountain, Mich.; Camelback Mountain, Pa.; Mountain High, Calif.; Sugarbush Resort, Vt.; Sugarloaf, Maine; and Vail Mountain, Colo. Voting concluded Friday, Jan. 21.

Each crew created a compelling video highlighting the hard work and the pride they take in their job, their love of the mountain, and the camaraderie they share. The contest aims to recognize how critical these crews are to the success of their respective resorts and industry as a whole.

The winning crew will receive a prize from HKD and industry-wide recognition for their dedication to and passion for the art of snowmaking.
