SAM Magazine--Durango, Colo., Jan. 8, 2005--Snow Monsters and Monster Cable have amicably resolved their dispute over any possible trademark infringement over the two companies' use of the word "monster." As a result, Snow Monsters has withdrawn its complaint against Monster Cable.

According to Jack Turner of Sirdar, Snow Monsters' parent company, "Noel Lee, the founder and president of Monster Cable and I have been in serious but cordial discussions. . . . Noel and I are in agreement that there is no conflict or ill-will between Snow Monsters and Monster Cable Products--none whatsoever."

Both companies will continue to protect their trademarks, Turner said in a prepared statement. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but he told SAM that Snow Monsters came out "whole." \
