SAM Magazine--Snowshoe, W.V., May 5, 2005--Bill Rock will become vice president and general manager at Intrawest-owned Snowshoe Mountain effective June 6. Rock moves to Snowshoe from Durango Mountain Resort, where he has been chief operating officer and general manager for the past two years. He replaces Bruce Pittet, who is moving within Intrawest to regional VP of operations, Intrawest Lodging, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Rock, recently named one of four winners of the prestigious SAMMY award for 2005, is no stranger to the Intrawest empire, having held several positions at Stratton Mountain between 1998 and 2003. \
