SAM Magazine--Woodbury, Conn., Apr. 21, 2005--Jon Mahanna, Carla Marcus, Jay Roberts, and Bill Rock are the 2005 SAMMY Future Leadership Award recipients, chosen for their accomplishments to date and for their potential for even greater achievements in the future. This is the eighth year for this annual awards program, created by SAM Magazine.

All four have contributed in significant ways to the growth of their current organizations. Mahanna is general manager for Angel Fire Resort, N.M.; Rock is general manager at Durango Mountain Resort, Colo. Jay Robers is mountain operations director of Wintergreen Resort, Va., while Marcus is founder and executive director of WinterKids, a groundbreaking nonprofit organization committed to skier development and healthy lifestyles for kids grades K-12

Nominations for the SAMMY Awards come from active members of the North American snowsports industry, and those being honored can be proud of this peer recognition. SAM congratulates them, as well as all the other nominees, for their many successes.
