The Summit Series: Rising Leader Program – Session One (Fall Series)

The SAM Summit Series Rising Leader Program is a professional development experience designed for mountain resort professionals growing into leadership roles. Led by leadership coach Lex Curtis, each 90-minute session combines practical leadership development with small-group discussion alongside an industry mentor and peer cohort, giving participants tools they can put to work immediately and build on throughout the series.

Develop & Lead Yourself

Every season begins with leadership. Before new employees arrive and operations ramp up, the most important person you’ll lead is yourself. Leading in a resort environment means balancing competing priorities, responding to changing conditions, and being a steady presence for your team when things don’t go as planned. This session helps you build a strong leadership foundation by increasing self-awareness, clarifying how you want to show up as a leader, and developing the mindset and habits that build confidence and resilience. As your team begins to look to you for direction, you’ll be better prepared to lead by example and create conditions for your people to succeed throughout the season.
