SAM Magazine—Aspen, Colo., May 22, 2025—Aspen One, the parent company of Aspen Skiing Company, has promoted John Rigney, Susan Cross, and Ian Stuart, and hired Steve Stout and Trip Riggs as part of a senior-level leadership update.

Rigney, who has been with the company for 36 years and currently serves as senior vice president of Aspen Skiing Company business development, has been promoted to chief business development officer, Aspen One. In this new role, Rigney will lead enterprise-wide partnerships, sponsorships, events, summer expansion, and broader business development and will sit on the Aspen One executive leadership team.

Snowmass mountain manager Cross has been promoted to Aspen Skiing Company vice president of mountain operations. In her new role, Susan will oversee all mountain operations functions across Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. Cross has been with Aspen Skiing Company for 34 years.
Stuart was recently promoted from leading rental and retail to senior director of strategic initiatives, Aspen One. His promotion made way for Stout, who joined as Aspen Skiing Company vice president of rental and retail. Stout previously worked for outdoor gear and clothing company Fjallraven.
Riggs was hired as Aspen Skiing Company senior vice president of finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience in enterprise financial leadership to the role.
