The Model P4 sound-powered interphone incorporates a buzzer operated; by concealed penlight batteries, but the manufacturer says the batteries are not used in conversation.
Connection between phones is by ordinary 2-conductor wire, and phones will operate over miles, Metropolitan says. They add that the system is used extensively on European lifts.

Dennison Eastman Lift ticket system
Dennison Eastman Corp., of 3451 Collins Ave., Richmond, CA, has introduced a new ticket system composed of an adhesive-backed, pressure sensitive ticket and a Z-shaped flexible Mylar wicket called a Zki-Z (patent pending).
According to the manufacturer, the Mylar Zki-Z hooks to clothing as wire wickets do, but will not puncture clothing and can be removed with scissors instead of wire cutters.
Dennison Eastman also manufactures an imprinter that prints a variety of numbers and symbols. Their lift tickets feature a perforated corner for areas which use this system of warning skiers on unsafe skiing.

New Harusch model
Harusch Lifts, over 50 of whose portable ski tows have been installed over the past five years, has launched a bigger handle-tow called Model 1000 (shown in photo), as well as a T-bar lift system.
According to Harusch, the Model 1000 can be supplied with a reducer and drive track already built for a future T-bar installation. Initial cost, however, is less since handles, rather than spring boxes, are used.
Harusch also built a Glacier T-bar lift with a floating pedestal for towers. They foresee application of this design where a lift must be dismantled during the summer months, such as at parks and golf courses.
